Depanneur is a Barkas side project, envisioned, produced and driven by ourselves. It's a small business, a hangout spot and our own outlet for artistic work.
Depanneur is a French-Quebec name for a convenience store. The term comes from the French verb dépanner which means “to help” or “to troubleshoot”. But a Depanneur is more than just a convenience store, it's a cultural corner stone in the neighborhood. After living in Montreal we realized that Copenhagen was missing such a place. Our Depanneur is based in the Nørrebro neighborhood of Copenhagen and we have interpreted the phenomenon freely, which means that you are allowed to consume all the products we carry directly at the spot.
