SPACE10 is IKEA’s future-living lab, set out in this world to design a better and more sustainable way of living – always in collaboration with experts, artists, specialists, thinkers and doers.
To embrace the collaborative approach of SPACE10, our idea was to create a strong, but flexible and open identity. Together with SPACE10 and a number of artist, we wanted to combine open-sourced thinking and functional design aesthetics. We therefore made a flexible design system based on the most elementary formats to create an easy-to-work-with and programmatic identity.
We’ve created a visual language that embraces chaos and order. It allows SPACE10 to work in close collaboration with artist and designers, while keeping a coherent expression.
